It’s always wonderful to welcome back former participants of the Debutante Program. Miss Nyemah Parker is now an undergraduate student at North Carolina A&T! 💛

The Debutantes honored and celebrated their wonderful Mothers, with assistance from their Ladies-in-Waiting, on Saturday, May 18th at the annual Mother/Daughter Luncheon! This is always a sentimental highlight of the season. 🦢

On Saturday, May 4th, Swans Club Member, Mrs. Teresa Brown presented a workshop on 10 Ways to Motivate Yourself. 

"Where there's no will, there's no way. One of the best ways to improve your personal effectiveness is to master your motivation and find your drive." 

"If you can master motivation, you can deal with life's setbacks, as well as inspire yourself to always find a way forward, and create new experiences for yourself, and follow your growth."

On Saturday, April 6th, former Swans Club Debutantes of the Year and family members, Dr. Robin Mclver-Brown, Dr. Rhea Mclver-Gibbs (sisters) and Elisabeth Archer (the daughter of Dr. Mclver-Brown) delivered a powerful and motivational presentation to the 2024 Debutantes on the Legacy of the Swans Club Debutante Program. Their presentation included artifacts from their Debutante seasons, which are still apart of our program today, such as the making of the memory books. It also included interactive activities and a reading of the book, "When God Made You," which emphasizes the important message that "God was thinking about you long before your debut." Thank you, ladies, for such a meaningful and dynamic experience for the 2024 Debutantes! 🦢

The first Image Development workshop was held for the Debutantes on Saturday, March 16th presented by Ericka and Narissa Gardner, a Mother/Daughter make up artist duo and owners of A.N.E. Glamistry. Great job! 🦢

The Swans hosted the 2024 Debutante "Get Acquainted Brunch" on Saturday, March 9th. The Debutantes and their Mothers were in attendance. A very nice time was had getting to know one another and enjoying great food! Thank you to 2021 Debutante 1st Runner Up, Dream Majors, for modeling her Ball gown and showing her Tea dress to demonstrate proper attire for both events. 🦢

A New Season is Upon Us! The Swans Club Debutante Program held its 2024 Orientation Meeting on Saturday, February 17th. Several prospective Debutantes and parents were in attendance. The Swans and Debutantes are ready for another exciting year of community service, educational and personal development and scholarship opportunities. Here we go!
